For years there has been many debates over the game of Roulette, some players argue the game is based on pure luck, others feel the game can be beaten. In the game of Roulette, the house will always have the edge whether it’s the American version or the European version of the game. The difference between the two versions is pretty simple to spot, the American version of roulette has both a 00 and a 0 space on the wheel, the European version only has the 0.

The Martingale Betting Strategy is the most popular betting strategy, some use it for Roulette, others use it for games like Blackjack. The Strategy is a progressive betting system where those who use it see that at some point they will have to win. The system has made a few players very rich with leave others very poor. It’s origin is unknown however it has been traced back to centuries ago. With this system, players will make a bet of atleast the table minimum, from there, if they lose this round, they will make another bet twice the amount of the first bet, this pattern continues until the player has a winning number. Once the player hits a winner they will start over with the table minimum and work their way back up. Here is an example:

You bet $5 and you lose.
Your next bet is $10. If you lose:
Your next bet is $20. If you lose:
Your next bet is $40. If you lose:
Your next bet is $80. If you lose:
Your next bet is $160. If you lose:
Your next bet is $320. If you lose:
Your next bet is $640, which exceeds the maximum bet for the table.

The problem with this strategy is that sometimes players will reach the $500 table maximum, in some casinos this maximum is different but as an example we’ll use $500, they will hit that ceiling and would have been out $500 by hitting 7 losing numbers in a row. Those who belive in this system feel this isn’t something that is possible, however, it is. When using this system, players will need to only make even money bets on either Black or Red.

The Labouchère System is another betting system that was created for the game of Roulette, in this system the players will add the numbers at the front and at the end of the line to determine the size of their next bet. When the player wins they will cross out the numbers they’ve already counted and will continue working on the line that is smaller line. If the player loses, they will add the previous bet t other end of the line and continue working on the longer line.
