How to Play Texas Hold Em’ Poker

Most people have heard about Texas Hold Em’ Poker, it is the most popular form of the game of poker by far. Players love this game because it has all of the much needed elements that make poker such a fun and memorable game. Players have the ability to bluff, gamble, use mathematics skills, luck, & strategies to win large sums of money! Online casinos usa offers Texas Hold Em’ Poker in every casino listed, the game is also of course, available in land based casinos, card rooms and sometimes even at home for friends to play a friendly game or even gamble a little. The game is actually pretty complex, here is how you play.

Traditionally the game is played with 9 or 10 players but can be played with as little as two players with online usa casinos. The game begins with the two players to the left of the dealer, they put out what is called blind bets, the name comes from the fact that the players are making bets before they even see a single card on the table. The player who is seated next to the dealer on the left side places the “small blind” bet which is based off of how much the “big blind” bet is, some online usa casinos have different minimum amounts which is what the big blind is. The small blind is then either 1/3 or 2/3 of the big blind amount. The player to the left of the player next to the dealer then puts out the big blind bet.

The player then to the left of that player starts the game they will chose to either call the bet, raise it, or fold. Calling a bet means to match the bet amount, to raise the bet is meant to of course, raise the bet amount and to fold is to forfeit the bet and leave the game. Betting will then continue around the table in a clockwise direction. At some point, the game will reach the dealer again who will then deal out three cards in the middle of the table, these cards are called “the flop” and are free for the taking for players to make up the best poker hand in conjunction with the cards they already have.

Betting will then start again with the player on the dealer’s left. They are given the option to check or bet at this time. A fourth card is dealt face up on the table, which is referred to the ‘fourth street’ or ‘the turn.’ Betting is then taking place again with the end result being the final card being dealt face up, this one as you could guess is called the ‘fifth street’ or ‘the river.’ A final round of betting starts, at the end the players will reveal their cards and the person who has the best five card poker hand is the winner!
