Split: The player has two cards that are the same denomination, the player chooses to make a second bet equal to the first, the player will then split the pair of cards to make two different hands. Two new cards will be given to the player to have for each of the split pairs.

Insurance: When the dealer’s face up card is an Ace, the player can take insurance which is basically a bet stating that the player things the dealer has a 10 card which would bring him a Blackjack. If the player takes out insurance at most tables, the player will lose the hand but wins the insurance bet, they will break even. If the dealer didn’t have a 10 card, the player loses both bets.
